What can I learn from Toastmasters?

ANSWER. Confidence is the first thing you will get from us. No, we won't completely eliminate your anxiety. We will make it a familiar friend. Experienced Toastmasters have learned how to use the nervousness that comes with public speaking. Some call it "making your butterflies fly in formation." We have lots of educational opportunities. Every member begins with a basic manual of 10 speaking projects. After the basic manual there are 15 different advanced manuals to choose from. Each has five speeches designed to get you familiar with the subject. In addition to the Educational Program, Toastmasters also has a Leadership Program. Clubs give every member a chance to become a club officer. Toastmasters has an extensive training program for club officers and for officers at other levels of the organization. There is also the High Performance Leadership Program in which participants form a committee and select a leadership project. See Club Materials.
