How many speeches must I perform before I earn Toastmasters' entry level designation, i.e. the Competent Toastmaster (CTM)?
ANSWER. Ten (10). The first one (entitled The Ice Breaker) must last between 4 and 6 minutes. The next 8 must last between 5 and 7 minutes, and the tenth speech you give is supposed to last 8 to 10 minutes. The remaining 9 speech projects are as follows:
- Organize Your Speech
- Get to the Point
- How to Say It
- Your Body Speaks
- Vocal Variety
- Research Your Topic
- Get Comfortable with Visual Aids
- Persuade with Power
- Inspire Your Audience
